Occupied Jerusalem: At least 48 Palestinians have been injured during an ongoing Israeli military operation in Qalandiya refugee camp and the nearby town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The operation, which began on Wednesday, has involved raids, confrontations and extensive security measures across the area.

The PRCS said 35 of the injured were transferred to hospitals, while six people received treatment at the scene after being assaulted. The organisation also reported one person suffered a gunshot wound, and six others were treated for suffocation caused by inhaling tear gas fired during the operation.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian child was shot and another man sustained bruises during an Israeli military raid in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to Palestinian sources.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces also arrested two Palestinian youths during a raid on the village of Al Mughayyir, north of Ramallah, as security operations continued across several parts of the occupied West Bank.

The military operation in Qalandiya has reportedly included raids on homes, arrests and confrontations with residents. Local officials said Israeli forces entered the camp in large numbers, while clashes erupted as residents confronted the operation. Reports also indicated that tear gas and live ammunition were used during the raids, resulting in dozens of injuries and widespread disruption.

The occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, continues to witness frequent Israeli military incursions, arrests and confrontations. Palestinian officials say the operations are often accompanied by the use of live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and tear gas, contributing to rising tensions and repeated clashes across the territory.
